TEHILLAH SNYMAN
sense sight I
sense sight I is a multisensory cyber-installation of intimate photographs, still-moving images and audio recordings that I hope may prompt new ways of looking, experiencing and imagining the everyday through its gentle suggestion of an attentive, sensitive and caring visual aesthetic language of affect or “poethics of care” (Tina Campt, 2019). This visual philosophy of care, of a productive, generative slowing down or stopping, embodied within the work functions as a therapeutic practice of freedom through which new ways of being can be imagined beyond the violent, Eurocentric frameworks of Man.
