about the artist

 

Hi there! My name is Tehillah Snyman and I am a Pretoria based multidisciplinary artist and writer.

 

I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2021 from the Wits School of Art (specializing in painting, drawing and photography) and was awarded the Giovanna Millner Scholarship as well as the Anya Millman Scholarship for outstanding practical work in fine arts. Although my artistic practice is largely abstract, I am also deeply passionate about hyperrealist art (and dogs!). Through Pawtraits, I indulge this artistic compulsion. Every pet portrait is created with the utmost care and love of someone who understands that your pet is not just a pet, they are family members with a unique personalities of their own!
